3:16 | Verse T-Shirt

THE MOMENT

Nicodemus was a religious leader and someone Jesus called “Israel’s teacher.”...and he had questions.  He came to Jesus at night, and their conversation moved from what Nicodemus thought he understood into something much bigger: new birth, belief, and a God whose love reaches far beyond status or religious credentials.

LOOK CLOSER

WORLD comes from the Greek kosmos.  Nicodemus had spent his life studying God and his religious tradition. Jesus tells him about a love that reaches much farther - to the world.  And that love isn't passive. The verse gives it movement:  God loved. So God gave.

IF SOMEONE ASKS…

You don't need a perfect explanation. Maybe this verse matters to you because…

• A religious leader was brave enough to bring his questions to Jesus.
• It reminds you that questions and faith don't have to be enemies.
• You need the reminder that God's love reaches beyond qualifications or credentials.
• You love that God's love is active, not just something He feels, but something He demonstrated.
• Sometimes you simply need to carry the reminder: God loves.

Or maybe your reason is entirely your own.

THE VERSE

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
